Crazy Grafton People

First of all, I wanna say that we won for the volleyball competition for second place only. Actually we expected to win the champion, but... As long as we got fun, that's enough I think. I don't really play much, because I am not that tall of course, so can't spike that well, but I have a very strong digging and always play at the baseline or set for the tall guys to spike. Anyway, no matter how, I really got so much fun and I know many new friends here. I know 1 pure Kiwi guy, Padgett, is one of my new and good friend here, who always say I play a good game and close with him. Hopefully can go to visit his house when the coming break. Haha...

Then, we have first year dinner for all the first year students here. Quite fun I think, because was the first time I sat with the other Malaysians in a dinner. Haha... Because normally I only get around with the HK people. All of the Malaysians here are doing biomedicine, except me, feeling ashamed. haha... No of course!!!!

So fast came to another week, this week really more terrible, got SOMEONE CRAZY ADMIRING ME!!!!!!!!! She just put a paper with some words on my door!!! Not only this, there are some of the others!!!! This is written with my Chinese name...I really never think I am such attractive and even the gui mui also attracted by me!!! wakakaka... Actually no la... This week is my hostel secret admirer week, that means we have to sign up for it, and then pick another one. Whoever we get, we have to admire him, and do something crazy for him secretly without his notice. After 1 week, it will be declared that who is our admirer, haha... Really sounds funny and interesting, because I never have this before in Malaysia. There is a pink hot underwear at the middle!!!Can you see many papers with crazy words here? End of the corridor, or the white paper at the right middle is mine!!!Some are even more crazy, they write many words on a cloth, then show it on the building, some even write the crazy words like I am thirsty for you or what on the Grafton Bridge, people here really crazy. But very honest, it is so much fun and interesting. When we go through there and see these, we will just laugh... So damn funny.

So fast 5 months in New Zealand and even I also could not believe it. I am here really good and like this place, is true. However, I miss Malaysia as well of course.. hehe...

Cooking Day

This few days I have spent quite much time in the Chinese Supermarket to buy something to boil the soup, and dessert. Hehe... Cherry yesterday just boiled a soup called as 沙参玉竹海底椰猪骨汤,don't know call what in English. It really taste good, Therefore I finally decide to boil a dessert today. I think dessert is much easier than soup, U have to know I never cook at all!!! Besides than instant noodle. Today, I boil fu zhuk gai dan tong shui 腐竹鸡蛋汤水!!! Sounds great right? I just spend about 2 hours beside the kitchen to look at it. I hope my first time, my virgin work will be fined and shock all the people. Hehe.... However, once I try it when it was done, it taste.......=.="
They say maybe because I have put too much water and not enough fu zhuk. Haiz.... But they also bong chiong and drink one cup... Hehe... The rest I put in the fridge, try to put more fuk zhuk and reboil again. They say it must be taste great!!! I will keep going on and try again!!!!

Yeah! 1 more thing is that I will represent my hostel for 1 sport this saturday. U guess what it is? Not badminton, not tennis as well, but is volleyball!!! Even the guai lou also say I play very well. Wakaka.... Going this saturday lo

Queenstreet Walk

Actually I have been here for a few times, but I didn't go through the shops one by one and busy buying something. Today, finally have this chance have a walk with Cheryl, Malaysian friend here to the street. As I mention before, Queenstreet is just like the Bintang Walk of Malaysia, a lot of branded shops and not cheap at all of course. We went to the Aotea Square Market, is a market for only weekend with many different kind of stuffs. Not only stalls are here, there are also some street performers are here every weekend. When he saw I am taking his picture, just ask me where am I from and talk to me, finally end up with: Welcome to Wellington. All the audiences are just laughing together. Just like western country, street performers are common here, but I just respect and admire with their courage doing so, I think I can't.1 of the sreet in Quenstreet.
U think where this 2 pictures taken from? It is McDonald!!! McDonald here is very nice even got cafe.
I don't know what this building for, a cafe I think, but I just pass by here everyday to university.

SkyTower, I took is not that nice, gotta improve my taking picture skill.

This is Grafton Bridge, the bridge that I need to cross everyday to get to the school, can u see the end of it?
It is a small cute thing for advertisement, can u see 'Link' at the middle? The bus, can say as the only public bus company here, lessen than Malaysia.
After back home having dinner, I have some great volleyball session with some other people here. They just say:"Wow, great playing it, hope to see you in the competition" They have a friendly match among the residence here next week, I wanna win it!!! Prove that I am not only good in badminton, wakakaka... Sounds chuan... At night here, my friend was playing piano, and I just realize that he can play so well. Then, I of course go to the piano sang!!! Even though don't really remember the lyrics(Can U feel The Love Tonight). All the people in the dining hall looking at me and my friend, Jian Xin immediately. Tey just keep laughing, but once we stop, they clap their hands together. hahaha.. I don't know should I be proud with this or not. Besides that, my friend here, Emily baking a bread which made by herself and treated us to eat it. I should post the nice bread picture, I try to post it next time. hehe.... Is a nice bread..
That's all for today and nothing much, I think need to sleep now because quite tired even though 1.18 am. Ooh... i forgot to say, I need to turn my clock 1 hour later, because of winter. That means only 4 hours difference with Malaysia now. hehe.... Good night

Busy Days here

I know it is quite a long time didn't post anything, but I just only go to the university, just nothing much. So, let me talk about my uni la.. hehe... My university is The University of Auckland, it is located right in the city center, so no beauty views here, only tall buildings. And please don't ever think that here has a lot of sheep and cows running here and there. I have never seen a cow or a sheep even now. This is my uni== This is the main clock tower, and of course this picture not I take it, I get it from internet, haha... I still have no time or chance taking a camera going around the university or the Auckland to take the pictures. But I will try, hehe...
I have four subjects in this semester, they are ACCTG, ECON, PROPERTY, STAT. Accounting lecturer is a Chinese from Singapore, Econ is a Kiwi lady, and Stat as well, Kiwi man. Property Lecturer is American. Listening all the people from all over the world speaking different accent of English is quite common here , of course. I don't know what else I can talk about my university, is just studying place. Ya... It is as big as Nilai here, but here all are buildings, I mean the school blocks, or the university facilities, no free space here, or even the hostel is excluded. But it is also not as big as La Trobe I think, because here is city center, and the land here is expensive, so all the limited land are filled with buildings. However, there are some many campus in the other location but not the city, if gather all together might be as big as La Trobe gua.. The other campus has a very nice building, just look like the resorts. I will take some pictures next time.
Anyway, I wanna say that today afternoon I escaped from the hostel meal, but went to eat dim sum with my friends. When eating it, I just feel like I am in the heaven, it is just so damn delicious and I cant stop my mouth, just desperate for Chinese food. But the funniest thing is the Dim Sum aunt here(lady who selling Dim Sum), she came over us for a few times to pass the Dim Sum, first time she said:"Here is the cheapest in the Auckland, must eat much!" Second:"Our big Dim Sum equal to other Auckland restaurant small Dim Sum, remember order more!"(Dim Sum here or in Hong Kong, divided into small, medium, or big, just in three different prices, and all the Dim Sum restaurants here mostly are owned by Hong Kongers). Third time,:"Our Dim Sum are just made by professional Hong Kong chief, you hard to find in other place of Auckland, especially with this price, I also eat here." We just keep counting the numbers she said this kind of sentences, just quite funny.
It's tiring here because is already 2.20am and just back from badminton with my friends. Happy that know someone else today. It is quite cold now, ya.. i wanna mention is that now is autumn, and average only 16C, and at night even colder. All the people wearing jackets and scarf. Good night

Chinese Lantern Festival and Kaweau Island

I should post this yesterday but my hostel blocked our connection to scan our system or what, stupid. Last night there was a Chinese Lantern Festival which was located in Albert Park, just beside my university. I go with Dana, Mila, and Mila's boyfriend. Once being there, just feel so many people there, of course not only Chinese, but also Western people. I just crazy there for all the Chinese food stalls. Do u know how desperate I am for all the chinese food??? I just bought all siew mai, bun, satay, and bubble tea. Although, the food taste normal, but is is just good enough for me. There are many chinese acrobatic performance in the park. But I just kept looking around at the beautiful lanterns. Here are some of them===

They have also chinese quiz there, my friend got so many and won 2 bowls of rice balls and a gift. But I? cant guess even 1, hmm.... anyway, It is quite nice, and happy with today.
Today early morning, my hostel has organized a boat trip to Kawau Island, all of them going since it is FREE!!! Actually we need to walk to the harbor that need about 45 minutes. But luckily my friend, Toby and Jason said they will drive to there and saved the time for walking, but we just have no parking and almost miss the boat, just ran for it like crazy people.. Luckily get over there on time and chat around on the boat. We even play some games on the boat and really get fun so much. Let me introduce my friends of my hostel here, from up to down, from left to right, they are Jason, Ivy, Toby, Cherry, Barry, Mila, me and Nic, only I am from Malaysia, and the rest most are from Hong Kong. Here are some scenes on the journey. Not really nice actually, However, once being there, I just ask:" Why we want to come to this deserted island?" It is so ugly and I never see such a sucks island before. I have no idea why I need to be here. The bay is not sandy and slippery, just have a lot branches on the beach, make me no mood, but we also have walk around, but no swimming please with this beach.
Haha... We are refugees who swim to New Zealand and stay in cave!

On the way going back, we just playing some mahjong. All the people in the boat just chatting or taking a nap, only us are blik blik blap blap playing the mahjong, so funny. But u know? My friends who are from Hong Kong just really show their talent and I am just a junior for them. Hehe... Have to learn mahjong well.. Haiz.. gotta start studying tomorrow, so bad....
