Finally in New Zealand

First of all, planning to blog on the final day in Malaysia, but finally...lazy. nothing much that time just only quite miss here suddenly and a lot of memories in Malaysia came across my mind. Anyway, let's talk about the day I went to airport. My flight was on 1.15pm to Bangkok and gotta be there earlier. Then my flight to Bangkok was quite smooth even though it was the first time I took the flight and transit by myself. When reaching in Bangkok, I just walking around. But u know? %hours transit was a very long time, so I called a drink then sat there for about 3 hours. The waitresses were also showing the bad face. But the drink was so expensive!! A pure mango juice in 200 Bath, was about RM20!!!!!! Can you believe it!! A juice in RM 20, even much more expensive than Malaysia. After that, just walking around in the air port, and it is in a shape of capital "L", so damn big!!! A Buddha
Then I took the flight at 7pm Bangkok time. On the flight, I could only see the Western people with gold hair and blue eyes, so few Asians there. My seat was beside an old Britain lady, she was going for traveling alone in Auckland, so geng!!! The flight was not bad with the crew services and the food. However, I just couldn't sleep at all in the whole journey. The total duration of the whole journey was about 11hours. But I could only sleep about 3 hours because the seat was so hard and I was not be able to lie down to have a good nap. I was just suffering in the whole journey. I would say here, I am not going to take a long flight if I have a better choice in the future.
After having breakfast on the flight, the crews announced that :"Good morning ladies and gentlemen, it is 1.15pm in Auckland".What??????? Saying good morning but with 1.15pm in Auckland. I just felt a bit not comfortable with the time zone here. Auckland is 5 hours earlier than Malaysia, so wanna chat with me, faham-faham la..
Airport pickup was quite well and I knew another Iran girl here. When stepping out from the airport, I just said:"This is summer? What about winter?" U know? Now is summer in New Zealand, the day time is very sunny, but so windy and you can feel cold with that, only about 20C and just like day time in Genting. On the way to my hostel, Grafton Hall, about 20 minutes is needed. I just could see all many nice special built houses here. Every house here has no fence, and they just can build in any style that they wish, as long as in the limited compound. Therefore, a nice view comes out.
Very soon, come to 5.30pm and all the people coming out from dinner. Oh! My god! How can the dinner be taken such early? But I just follow since I haven taken the lunch(due to time zone, I also don't know what's the meal called) I alone taking it there, and many people came over me and said Hi to me. I just greet them back and started chatting with some of them. Luckily I know many Malaysians here, as well as a China girl and a Hong Konger who I can speak cantonese with, really happy!!! Some more she is only staying beside of my room. However, the room I don't really like because it is so small and I have not enough place for me to put all my stuffs and my luggage. Besides that, can you believe that there has no fan in New Zealand room? Because they say New Zealand has an average temperature, from summer to winter, 22C -5C.
So, fan is not needed. This is the view outside my room. I don't really feel nice but it can see the whole Grafton Street.
After the dinner, I went to my Malaysian friend hostel, which is located about 15 minutes walk from my hostel, and I need to walk through a very long and huge bridge called as Grafton Bridge. I really felt lazy with that but on my way, I saw many people were walking around, even old people, office staffs, students, etc. It is because New Zealanders or Kiwis prefer walking then any other transportation, because it is safe, free of charge, healthy and no pollution, it seems meaningful and I think I have to get used to walking. Just staying in my friend room until 12am, just came back to my room and going to sleep very soon. At night here even much colder, all people are wearing jacket and scarf, doesn't seem in summer at all, so weird. It is about 17C at night, just like night at Genting or winter in Hong Kong.
So far, I still quite prefer this place because seems peaceful, but u know the shops are closed very early, all the shops and even shopping complexes will be closed sharp at 5pm. So I can't get my New Zealand phone card today. In conclusion, just great la.. But I have to get used to being here. Ok, gotta sleep for orientation tomorrow, bye
